  • NO BETTER FOR US!

    Welcome!

    “No better for you” is a phrase that often used when a person is gloating over another’s misfortune.  They declare it out of a conviction that the person has gotten the suffering that is rightfully deserved.  But with Christ in our lives, it takes on a whole new and different meaning.  It means the complete opposite.  It means that God has given us His best and there is nothing better.  Our heavenly Father has seen to it that nothing but what’s best enters our lives and there’s nothing else He’ll settle for when it comes to us.

    The next time you’re faced with adversity, rejoice, as you proclaim, “No better for me, in Jesus’ name!”  Because He’s working it out for good and in time you’ll see that it was the best thing that could have ever happened.  What a mighty God we serve!

    ...Our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.  Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforteth us...  2 Corinthians 7:5&6

    It's much more to our benefit to know Christ as our refuge;

    And always see Him as the place to hide;

    Than for us to be trouble-free with false security

    Of having so-called rest on every side.

    It's much more to our benefit to have some fears within,

    And be where there are fightings all around us;

    So that we come to know the love that casteth out all fear

    And peace because His presence does surround us.

    2 Corinthians 4:

    8 – We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

    9 – Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

    17 – For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

    18 – While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

    Be fearlessly encouraged!

  • Happy Birthday, Tim Jr!

    I wanted to make this special post to wish a very happy birthday to my beloved nephew, my very first nephew, Timothy.  I’m sure the “Junior” has played out but for your old auntie, it’s a term of deep endearment.  Although I bring this wish, it does not mean there isn’t a gift.  It’s coming your way very soon!

    My prayer and earnest desire for you is that you’ll be filled with all the goodness and riches of Christ Jesus, our Lord.  And that you’ll daily see how rewarding life can be in knowing, loving, serving and living for Him.  The best is yet to come!  Receive it!

    With much love & admiration,

  • A MENTAL BLOCK!

    Welcome!

    We praise God again for the supernatural way that He was with our sweet Patrice.  God answers prayer like we can’t imagine (Ephesians 3:20); all we have to do is believe!!!  Praise the Lord!!!

    We usually focus on an object that is before us and suppose that it’s an obstruction.  But often it’s not that object that is the barrier; but many times it’s our way of thinking that is the barrier.  We think of things as obstacles, when they are natural things that we will come across in our progression.  They are inevitable and unavoidable, yet conquerable.  They are not to stop us and we are not to stop at them, but overcome them and move onward and forward and upward by His Word.

    (The word "straitened" in Proverbs 4:12 means "hindered.")

    When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.  Proverbs 4:12

    Sometimes we think of walking only as a casual stroll

    That’s on a plain and easy course that seems in our control.

    Then when we come to something unexpected on our way;

    We think to stop or turn around and give up in dismay.

    We think that it is incorrect and since things have gone wrong;

    Then it must be because we’ve been in error all along.

    But those things are to us just like the hurdles in a race;

    They may prove a challenge, but they’re not to stop our pace.

    When there’s something that’s too high, it’s time for us to climb;

    We may have to go to lengths, although it takes more time.

    The kingdom suffers violence and the violent takes by force;

    Some things are meant for us to take and throw from off our course.

    But they are not to throw us off our course but make us see

    That if we’re going to finish, we must move aggressively.

    For by Thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.  Psalm 18:30

    Be forcefully encouraged!
